Shivangi has been awarded a National Scholarship in the field of Kathak by the Ministry of Tourism & Culture (Govt. Of India).

Shivangi has received the title of 'Nritya Shree' in a national dance and music festival held in Katni (M.P.).

It was a moment of sheer joy for Shivangi to meet her mentor and idol Pt. Birju Maharaj during his workshop in Mumbai in June 2009.
